The most amazing non toxic crayons... Crayon Rocks encourage the tripod grip for handwriting success. Made of pure, natural waxes from soy beans, they allow small fingers to colour in large, wide strokes.
A teacher invented Crayon Rocks after being inspired by occupational therapist Jan Olsen and her Handwriting Without Tears program. She learned how important it was for children to develop a strong tripod grip early in their education process — handwriting skills depend upon this. Seeing that a simple tool to develop these skills in young children wasn't readily available, Ms. Lee set out to develop one.
Designed to strengthen the fine motor muscles, preparing little fingers and hands for pencil use. Crayon Rocks draw in rich colour, going on smoothly and easily. They help little fingers to grow strong as children put their creative ideas onto paper. Crayon Rocks are good for children that are working with fine motor disabilities and difficulties. We recommend brushing your finished creation with the palm of your hand for a finished oil pastel quality.
You can EAT these crayons if you want, but PLEASE don't inhale them. They ARE a choking hazard! Not for children under 3 years of age or those who will put them in their mouth - use with an appropriate level of supervision.
Crayon Rocks conform to ASTM D 4236, are certified non-toxic, are vegan, and CPSIA compliant.
